About me

Hello my name is Eddie Starck. I am a carer and I look after a lovely man man who has Down's syndrome .I am a member of "Royal institute of Arts" and Registered Digigraphie artist. I bought and moved on to a narrow boat in March 2005. The name of my first boat was the great escape. The name was very apt for my circumstances at that time. In 2010 I commissioned the building of my latest boat which is called my precious. I decided to travel the waterways around Britain, with all the lovely countryside and nature around me it spurred me on to start taking pictures which intern stirred up my passion for photography again. I started experimenting with various apps such as Adobe photoshop Topaz Luminar and on1 photo raw. I consider myself more as a Digital artist rather than a photographer. I shoot on a Nikon Camara and on my iPhone. As you can see from my portfolio my style is the painterly look. They say the best camera is the one that you have with you at the time which in my case its my iPhone. Just lately I find myself taking pictures all the time on my iPhone because it is compact and convenient. I also use a variety of different lenses and apps to get different effects.
